After initial activation, the DMI-65 alum filter behaves as an oxidant with instantaneous oxidation and filters out insoluble precipitates. This material has been widely used in a wide range of applications in Japan for over 30 years. Quantum Filtration produces DMI-65 under license in Western Australia.
