Description
The alum-reduced DMI-65 granules have a unique micro-hollow structure that allows iron up to 0.005 ppm to be removed and manganese up to 0.001 ppm. After initial activation, the DMI-65 alum filter behaves as an oxidant with instantaneous oxidation and filters out insoluble precipitates. This material has been widely used in a wide range of applications in Japan for over 30 years. Quantum Filtration produces DMI-65 under license in Western Australia. DMI-65 has been tested and certified in accordance with NSF/ANSI 61 standards by the Water Quality Association.
Particle structure filter DMI-65
- DMI-65 alum filter granules are extremely strong water purification materials used to remove iron and manganese in water (water) without the need for regeneration.
- The unique microstructure of DMI-65 is capable of removing dissolved iron to almost undetectable levels as low as 0.001 ppm and manganese to 0.001 ppm.
- DMI-65 acts as an oxidation catalyst with oxidation and filters out insoluble precipitates from this oxidation reaction. DMI-65 can also remove arsenic, aluminum, other heavy metals and also H2S.
- Without the need for regeneration, DMI 65 has a very high filter material life of 5 to 8 years.
- Can be used to replace old materials of the filtration system.
- Wide pH range, stable and safe performance at pH 5.8 ÷ 8.6.
- DMI-65 can operate at filtration velocities up to twice that of other materials, corresponding to a reduction in initial capital expenditure.
- High temperature operation: maximum operating temperature up to 113°F (45°C).
DMI-65 Filter Particle User Manual
- Before using DMI-65 particles, it is necessary to activate the filter bead with 10% Javen;
- Ratio 1/10 by particle volume.
- Pour DMI-65 alum filter granules into the container, pump clean water with filter beads, then pour in Javen, soak for 8 hours. Remove the filtered seeds, rinse and use, or you can put them in a soaked composite column and rinse after 8 hours.
